Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American reporter. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She started working at ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in her landing her first role as producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she was a producer of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In 2009, the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg hired her for a position as the sports reporter. She was a reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. The reporter covered stories about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking on the Texas and Mexico the border. She served as a news reporter for Fox2 News, which is a Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she was a substitute anchors of sports and weather. In the following, she anchored and also reported on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Her family relocated in Miami in 1992 after they left Mexico. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. In the summer of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. As a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of the direction she was going to take in her future, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. It turned out that she loved the campus, and they had the program that she had been looking for. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University for a master's degree in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a participant. He encouraged her to be confident in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism was deeply affecting her and she, in turn, determined to meet his expectations and never let him down.
